National Safety Apparel Acquires Vinatronics

Cleveland, Ohio - National Safety Apparel (NSA), a seventy-six year-old manufacturer of safety apparel, has acquired Seattle-based Vinatronics, a high visibility apparel manufacturer.

Jason Leniski, GM of Vinatronics says “NSA and Vinatronics share a common tradition of high quality “Made in the USA” products. NSA’s sales force, distribution network, and cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities will power Vinatronics’ long term growth and sustainability, and provide more sales and service support to our customers.”

Duane Siders, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for National Safety Apparel, added “This acquisition is a clear indication that Made-in-the-USA is more important to the safety industry than ever before, and National Safety Apparel is committed to offering high-quality and innovative products manufactured right here in the United States. We are extremely excited about this acquisition.”

National Safety Apparel is a market leader in the design and manufacture of high-quality safety apparel for the electric, thermal, cut, rainwear and hi-visibility markets. NSA is registered to ISO 9001:2008, with design, by Smithers Quality Assessments. National Safety Apparel was recently awarded the 2012 Top Workplaces Award  and the WIRE-Net Mission Builder Award for investing in plant expansion, job creation, and new business growth in Northeast Ohio.

NSA's 2012 Achievements

2012 was one of the most successful years in National Safety Apparel's history, and we were honored to be recognized with two local awards for our employees' hard work and dedication.

The first is the WIRE-Net Mission Builder Award. This prize is given to Northeastern Ohio companies that have exhibited dedication to plant expansion, job creation, and new business growth. As a result of NSA's move to our larger plant facility in October of 2011, we were able to provide better working conditions and more room for new operating stations.

Productivity has also improved, leading to better lead times for fulfilling orders for our customers. We intend to continue this improvement into 2013 and beyond!

The second distinction received this year was a Cleveland Plain Dealer Top Workplaces 2012 award. This honor was given based on surveys distributed to employees across the region, and NSA scored among the highest for small companies. We're proud that our employees enjoy their jobs and work environment, and strive to continue to provide a comfortable friendly environment.

Thanks for your continued support this year!

Recap of Events

There has been a lot of action at National Safety Apparel over the last few months, and we have some great events coming up as well!

We have released some new and exciting products, including the Explorer Series outerwear, the Arc Flash Blanket, and our 12 cal Cotton Shirts.  All three of these products represent departures from the more traditional stylings and product lines in the PPE and arc flash industries.

Meanwhile, we've continued to push our advancement on the flash fire front, with our sweatshirts becoming the first to reach NFPA 2112 certification for flash fire resistance.  Our extensive line of coveralls are soon to follow, too - we'll have more details on that soon!

Thirdly, with the 2012 NSC Expo fast approaching, we're pleased to invite you to visit us at booth 2213. Check the floor plan to find exactly where we'll be! We will have games and drawings throughout the show, along with a wide variety of new sample items to introduce.

We thank you so much for your continued support, and look forward to working with you!

Sweatshirt Weather!

As we hit the end of a record-setting summer, it seems easy to forget that those beautifully cool autumn days ever existed last year. Well, they do, and they have arrived! If you are outside working on a brisk morning this fall, NSA is your best bet for keeping comfortable and protected with our premium FR Sweatshirts.

Which one suits you best? Are you a classic crewneck style person? Do you like the hooded zipper for easy donning and doffing? Perhaps a stylish, half-zip fleece?  From high-vis yellow to classic black, durable knits to soft FR fleece, we can get you outfitted. We've even got a women's cut pink FR sweatshirt for the ladies! Check out all our great FR Sweatshirts on our webpage.

We're also pleased to announce that our UltraSoft® sweatshirts are the only ones of their kind to be 2112 garment approved to NFPA 2112 for flash fire! Read more about it here.

As always, our FR sweatshirts are made right here in the USA.

Bundle Up With the All-New Explorer Series

While winter seemed to take a vacation for 2011-2012, it’s unlikely that this coming cold season will show the same mercy.  That’s why National Safety Apparel is releasing its all-new Explorer Series™ outerwear garments.

The development team at NSA collaborated directly with utility workers who have quite literally been out in the cold, and got input on what types of features are needed when temperatures drop and jobs must get done. The finished result does not disappoint.

The Explorer Series™ features a parka, bomber jacket, and bib overall that are all customizable to match any task’s needs.  Enhancements such as large expandable pockets, an attachable hood, and oversized leg zippers are just a few of the options now offered – quite a deviation from the more basic patterns of previous garment sets.

On the outside, a tough and rugged layer of UltraSoft® duck material blocks wind and wetness, while the warm liner inside provides insulation for trapping your body’s own heat.

These HRC 4 garments achieve a minimum arc rating of 46 cal/cm², and are perfectly suited for utility workers, as well as the ever-expanding oil and gas industry across the northwestern United States.
