While winter seemed to take a vacation for 2011-2012, it’s
unlikely that this coming cold season will show the same mercy. That’s why National Safety Apparel is
releasing its all-new Explorer Series™ outerwear garments.
The development team at NSA collaborated directly with utility workers
who have quite literally been out in the cold, and got input on what types of
features are needed when temperatures drop and jobs must get done. The finished
result does not disappoint.
The Explorer Series™ features a parka, bomber jacket, and bib
overall that are all customizable to match any task’s needs. Enhancements such as large expandable pockets,
an attachable hood, and oversized leg zippers are just a few of the options now
offered – quite a deviation from the more basic patterns of previous garment
sets.
On the outside, a tough and rugged layer of UltraSoft® duck
material blocks wind and wetness, while the warm liner inside provides
insulation for trapping your body’s own heat.
These HRC 4 garments achieve a minimum arc rating of 46 cal/cm²,
and are perfectly suited for utility workers, as well as the ever-expanding oil
and gas industry across the northwestern United States.
