April Showers...

bring out the rain gear!

As the clouds gather overhead this spring, workers all over will be getting out that old rain gear and heading out on the job. At NSA, we want to make sure that they not only stay dry, but also that they are comfortable in doing so.  That's why we are re-introducing our Arc Extreme and Arc Extreme Hybrid rain apparel.

The Arc Extreme is our first breathable rain jacket and overall combo, made from specially designed layered material for ultimate comfort and protection from the weather.  And, new this season, it is now available in high-visibility yellow (Arc rating: 17.8 cal/cm²) along with navy (9.2 cal/cm²).

Now, if the Arc Extreme is the luxury sedan, then the Arc Extreme Hybrid is the sports car prototype. Our most advanced rainwear line features both the navy and high-vis yellow materials, combined to make an ultra-comfortable and stylish set.  We've added additional reflective striping to make the garments meet ANSI/ISEA 107 Class 2 or Class 3 standards.  Lastly, our IGX™ Technology includes a design to minimize seams' exposure to direct rain impact, keeping you drier longer.

IGX Technology Explained

You may have looked at our Arc Extreme Hybrid series and wondered, "what exactly is IGX Technology?" Well, the name comes from Ingress and Gravitational Stoppage, where the garment design and material minimize the seams and openings that are exposed to direct hits from the rain coming down onto you. More seam protection equals more water being directed off of your shoulders, head, and arms.  That's why seams are moved away from the top of the jacket and protected with sealing tape inside.

The diagram shown below illustrates how the fabric's Durable Water Repellent Finish keeps water and wind out, and also keeps you warm while getting rid of body moisture inside. This material coupled with advanced design and craftsmanship make our Arc Extreme Hybrid rainwear the best yet!
